The Heart Care Center of Northwest Houston offers the spectrum of Clinical Cardiac Services, ranging from preventative services to Radionuclide Angiography.
At the core of each clinical subsection is a devotion to optimizing patient outcomes by bringing highly trained staff, state-of-the-art technology, and cutting edge techniques to the patient suffering from cardiovascular disease.
Some of our Office Services include the following:
New Patient Consultation
We welcome new patients for consultations with our cardiologists, for diagnostic evaluation, and for medical treatment. You may contact us directly or through a referring physician. Please make sure to forward copies of your medical records from other physicians before your first appointment, which will be set for the earliest time and date possible.
Pacemaker Check
A pacemaker is a small unit that helps your heart beat more regularly. It does this with a small electric stimulation that helps control your heartbeat. Your doctor puts the pacemaker under the skin on your chest, just under your collarbone. It’s hooked up to your heart with tiny wires.
Coumadin / Warfarin Level Check
Warfarin (brand names Coumadin and Jantoven) is a prescription medication used to prevent harmful blood clots from forming or growing larger. Beneficial blood clots prevent or stop bleeding, but harmful blood clots can cause a heart attack, stroke, deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism. Because warfarin interferes with the formation of blood clots, it is called an anticoagulant. Many people refer to anticoagulants as “blood thinners”; however, warfarin does not thin the blood but instead causes the blood to take longer to form a clot.
