About Dr. Patankar, MD

Gautam Patankar MD, FACC, serves patients in Northwest Houston, Spring, Tomball, and Cypress as a board-certified cardiologist at the Heart Care Center of Northwest Houston. He is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, CHI St. Luke's Health - The Vintage Hospital, and HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress. 

Dr. Patankar received his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine in Bryan-College Station, Texas, and completed his internal medicine residency, general cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. 

Dr. Patankar is board-certified in internal medicine, general cardiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac CT, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography, and has published research articles on diagnosing carcinoid heart disease, renal filtration, and Takotsubo cardiomyopathy. 

In his free time, Dr. Patankar enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and watching sports.
